Legends of Spain – Canary Islands
About the work
Nestled off the coast of Northwestern Africa, the Canary Islands is a Spanish archipelago of 8 volcanic islets.Â
But there have been whispers of a ninth phantom island, that appears and disappears before your eyes. Â First discovered by an Irish monk, Saint Brendan, in the 15th century, legend tells that a giant fish carried St Brendan's ship to this mysterious paradise island, therein known as San Barandon.
And so the search for both the legend, and its local storytellers begins.

Amy Miller, Project LeadBlack Lab brought real craft to Legends of Spain: Canary Islands, and a genuine instinct for the story we were trying to tell. They understood the brief immediately, and the finished films did exactly what we needed them to do: real people, real places, no gloss.
